I closed my main street store front office at the
begining of August. The concept was to create a productive and creative space in the attic. A space to focus my new awakened creative juices as I embark on this new chapter of my life. The attic is the length of my two bedroom one bath home, it has sloping side walls I
affectionatelly refer to as the wife walls on account of how many times i have bumped my head. Its exactly six feet from the finished floor to where the
sidewalls meet to form the
ridge spine. I am 5' 11 3/4".
I moved all my office files and boxes into the attic and have managed to pile most of it against the 4' high base walls. I have set up I
kea butcher block
counter tops as desk tops and made it functional and some what comfortable to begin working.
The thing is I can't seem to get inspired and get up here to do all the creative things I wanted to plan from here. Its been 6 weeks since i did anything I will call work. I have been living off my savings and working on the house so I excuse myself a little.
I suppose the excitement I first had for working up here is still there. The transition to a different career path has me adjusting slowly. I will keep this blog updated to track how i am doing. Who knows, I might get some ideas on experiences similar to mine. For know i need to take a break from this and do some other work.
